Title: Facilties Manager

Reports to: 
Director of Operations

Compensation: 20 Hours/Week
Pay Range: $22-$24 hourly

Position Purpose/Summary: 
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and safety of our various residential facilities, administrative office and any other property under our control. The Facilities Manager will ensure that the workplace environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to the well-being of all employees. This role involves maintenance and repair of facilities, coordination of larger facility repairs, vendor relationships, managing the facilities budget and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee routine maintenance and repair of the building, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general upkeep of the office, warehouse, or other facilities.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external contractors, service providers, and vendors. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure services are delivered within budget and on schedule.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations. Perform regular safety audits, and ensure that safety protocols are followed.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget. Track expenses and recommend cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure that all equipment and facilities are operating at optimal efficiency.
  • Building Security and Access Control: Oversee security services, including monitoring security systems, access control, and ensuring the building is secure at all times.
  • Emergency Response and Crisis Management: Be the point of contact for emergency situations (e.g., natural disasters, power failures, etc.), ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and external vendors.
  • Experience with basic office applications (e.g., MS Office, Google Apps, etc).
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to managing daily operations and emergency situations.
  • Ability to work outside regular hours if required, including weekends or during emergencies.
