expanding our capacity — Extending our reach
For over 30 years, Powerhouse Ministries has been a place where hope is restored and lives are completely transformed. Hundreds have found their home here.
Today, Powerhouse takes its boldest stand yet – waging war against the cycles of domestic violence and abuse, sex trafficking, homelessness, incarceration, addiction, and generational cycles. We exist as a beacon of hope, the final line of defense against the darkness.
We are bursting at the seams.
Our Crisis and Community Care Center now serves over 3,100 individuals each year. Meanwhile, our Residential Recovery Centers have expanded to 59 beds, supporting men, women, children, and young adults. This growth, while necessary, has placed added pressure on counseling rooms and classroom space. Just last year, our Counseling Center provided more than 1,400 individual and holistic therapy sessions to people in urgent need of mental health care. It is evident that there is still so much more work to be done.
Now, we are building a new campus and expanding our capacity.
At 11 & 21 Natoma Street, across from the City Hall and the Folsom Community Center, we are planting Powerhouse in the heart of our community. Here, every person entering our city will see that this is a community of compassion, love, and action–a community leading the way in shaping a brighter future.

your part — make a commitment
We invite you to consider contributing to this project by making a gift today and partnering with us as we build towards the future. This new facility will help expand our ability to serve the most vulnerable in our community. Providing refuge for those in crisis, and equipping individuals and families with the tools they need to rebuild their lives. Together, the future campus of Powerhouse Ministries will be more than a building –– it will be a beacon of hope, a place of healing, and a launching point for lasting transformation.

step one — Laying the Foundation
This is a crucial moment. Raising the needed funds will allow us to secure the properties and make the necessary renovations so they can be used to serve our community.

step two — Expanding Services
In step two, we will raise additional funds to fully occupy the properties debt-free, allowing us to expand our services and give our community greater access to critical care such as, hygiene facilities, meal programs, mental health counseling and therapy, substance abuse treatment and recovery programs, crisis intervention, housing navigation and placement assistance, job training and employment support, life skills and financial literacy education, and family reunification assistance.
PHASE TWO
In phase two, we will raise $750,000 for construction costs in order to transform both facilities to meet our needs.
PHASE THREE
In phase three, we will raise a final $1M to fully occupy the facilities debt free.

A MESSAGE

A MESSAGE from nancy atchley
I am so thankful for your generous support of the future campus of the Powerhouse Community Outreach and Training Center. Over the last 30+ years, Powerhouse has gained the reputation of being a place where anything is possible. Where people trapped in cycles of addiction, abuse, incarceration, and homelessness can find hope, freedom, and the support to completely change their lives.
You have helped to make this possible and because of this, I am eternally grateful for you.
It is no secret that our country is experiencing a sharp rise in mental illness, addiction, violence, and homelessness. What you may not know is, at the same time, there is an even greater cry for help. We are seeing record numbers of people who genuinely want to stop these cycles in their own lives and make sure their children never have to experience them. They are coming, and with your partnership, we will be ready to give them the help they so desperately want.
I am so honored to be on this journey with you to continue to make Powerhouse a place where anything is possible.
- Nancy Atchley, Executive Director
