Heather Brown
Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee
Hello! I'm Heather Brown, a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee pursuing my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported.
I believe every person has inherent worth, and I strive to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's challenges, build on their strengths, and move toward healing and hope. As a Christian counselor-in-training, I welcome opportunities to thoughtfully integrate faith into the counseling process when it aligns with clients' beliefs and goals.
I have a special interest in working with anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationship concerns, and emotion regulation. My approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Brainspotting. I have completed Phase 2 Brainspotting training and am working toward certification.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and tackling projects around the house.
