Hello, I am Katie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #96656. I have had the privilege of supervising trainees and associate therapists for the past 7 years; the past 3 of those years here at Powerhouse Counseling Center. Supervision is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I love helping developing clinicians build confidence, strengthen their clinical skills, and discover their therapeutic style. Whether you're just beginning your journey or working toward licensure, I strive to create an environment where you feel challenged, supported, and empowered to become the therapist you want to be.

When I'm not providing supervision, I enjoy working directly with clients in my private practice. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, and I draw from specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Brainspotting along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to help clients build skills, process through difficult life experiences to find healing, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I received my Master of Arts degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Western Seminary in 2014, graduating with high honors. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University in 2011, graduating with distinction. I have been licensed in the state of California since 2016.
